Dating suggestions for a gay man or a straight woman to use aren’t really all that different from each other.
One of the most nerve-racking things about your search for that special relationship, gay or straight, is the dating process. However, the dating process can also be, and should be, one of the most exciting parts of finding the right guy. Dating can seem dull at times because too often we resort to the classic dinner and a movie idea. Dinner and a movie can be a great date, but why not switch it up a bit and really wow that prospective Mr. Right? Here are a few ideas you can use when planning your next date, whether it’s the first date or yours and his weekly date night.
1. One stand-by date proposal is going for a round of miniature golf. Mini-golf is a great way to engage in a stimulating activity but still have a meaningful conversation. Golfing is an intimate enough game in that will let you to get to know one another while not just sitting in a restaurant. Whether you’re great at the sport or not, flirting over your skills or lack thereof is a great way to lighten the mood. Just be certain to leave your overly competitive side at home.
2. If you live around a major city, a wonderful date is to go for a night on the town. A major downtown area always has plenty of varied activities to do. Whether you’re going in and out of stores, or walking through the park, the environment around you will provide for a great time, and some great memories. The exciting atmosphere of the town will also perk up lots of easy conversation, and is a great way to learn about each other. You may even do something that’s unique to the city, such as a stage performance, check out the skyscrapers, or go to the art museum.
3. If both of you are the outdoorsy and energetic type, why not try some rock climbing? There is undoubtedly somewhere nearby where you can enjoy a bit of climbing. Exercise is a perfect way to ease some of the tensions that a date early in your relationship might provide. Most areas have private, for pay (if a little fake) climbing venues.
4. On a rainy day, stay in and put together a jigsaw puzzle or a model airplane. You might even choose to build a model that can actually fly, and then you know what you can do on your next date!
Dating ought to be an exciting part of being in or starting a relationship. Having a social dating environment is important in order to get to know the other person without introducing any unnecessary pressure. You might not always remember that sub-par movie you endured, but you’re sure to remember the excitement of one of these more creative date ideas.
