A Young Woman’s Excessive and Hazardous Drinking Leads To a DWI, Mental Health Concerns, Depression, Time In The Municipal Jail, and Dating, Relationship, and Love Issues
Jesse had an awfully difficult time keeping a job. To be sure, due to her lassitude and lack of motivation, she was out of work far more often than she was gainfully employed. And when she did get a job, she had an extremely hard time getting to work in a timely manner, she often got less than optimal performance appraisals, and she called off sick so many times that she commonly got fired three or four weeks after she began working. To no one’s disbelief, one of the consequences of Jesse’s awful work track record was the fact that she was virtually without a dime most of the time.
Regardless of Jesse’s terrible work record and financial misconduct, on the other hand, by hook or by crook she made it her business to drink in an abusive and excessive manner much of the time. Not surprisingly, her irresponsible drinking also led to a number of relationship, love, and dating issues over the years.
Based on her hazardous and abusive drinking, it came as no big jolt when Jesse got arrested for a second DUI. When she went to court, the magistrate explained to Jesse that her alcohol-related conduct was irresponsible and, as a result, he was going to sentence Jesse to spend five months locked up in jail.
Time Behind Bars To Think About The Injurious Results of Careless Drinking
During her time in the county jail, Jesse was expected to learn more about alcohol facts, about the adverse results of abusive drinking, and she was expected to get alcohol counseling. The judge emphasized the fact that unless Jesse gets professional alcohol rehab and discovers how to live a life of sobriety, she will quite possibly be spending more than a short amount of time in the city jail.
Jesse said that she understood what the judge was uttering but she still stated that placement in the city jail was not the most productive verdict. The magistrate saw things differently and proclaimed that it was his obligation to keep alcoholics off the streets who drive and drink and who get arrested for multiple DUIs. To deal with her alcohol withdrawals in a harm free manner, Jesse was transferred to a drug and alcohol treatment hospital for alcohol detoxification and then returned to the county jail. While in jail Jesse was given a mental health assessment for her depression and received alcohol counseling but due to the fact that she received this rehab as something that was imposed upon her, she did not take ownership of her irresponsible drinking.
When her time in the city jail was over, the magistrate without hesitation announced to Jesse that she would be under rigorous scrutiny and would be required to take periodic alcohol tests.

After hearing how Jesse did not take ownership of her drinking situation and how she reluctantly followed the rehab modus operandi while in the local jail, the judge knew that it was just a matter of time before he would be seeing Jesse once again in court about her excessive and irresponsible drinking behavior. As the judge reflected on Jesse’s circumstance, he couldn’t help but think about how some people never use common sense and discover how to live in a productive and accountable manner.
